Player Spotlight is a now a new feature to the John Covello Blog, where once a week a player from either high school, or travel hockey will be spotlighted on the blog for their achievements. The inaugural Player Spotlight is:
_Brett Pesce from the North Jersey Avalanche 16uAAA National team. This week Brett verbally committed to the University of New Hampshire for either 2013 or 2014. Brett currently leads all 16uAAA National defense in points per game with 1.54 ppg.
_Hailing from Tarrytown, NY, Brett has been playing with the Avalanche for the past few years. He was on the North Jersey Avalanche team last year that lost in the 16u National Championship game. Brett is the 2nd player on the Avalanche to commit this year. The other player being Jason Stephanik, who verbally committed to Quinnipiac earlier in December. We would like to congratulate both of these players for their great achievements!
