Player Spotlights-Kyle Garlasco, Adam Apidopoulos

Player Spotlight is a now a new feature to the John Covello Blog, where once a week a player from either high school, or travel hockey will be spotlighted on the blog for their achievements.
This week's Player Spotlight's are:

_Bergen Catholic's Kyle Garlasco, and Adam Apidopoulus. These two players have been the foundation for BC's success all season long. These two seniors are the leading scorers and captains of the team this year. Bergen Catholic just won 2 big games. This is important because they won these two games right before the state playoff cut off date.
_Kyle Garlasco is currently the team's leading point scorer with a 11-28-39 line in only 15 games. This means he Kyle is averaging 2.6 points per game in states toughest division. Kyle's 28 assists is the most in the Gordon Conference.
_Adam Apidopoulus has been on a scoring streak all season long. He has 23 goals this season and 34 points. This means that Adam is average 1.53 goals per game. His talent for goals has been shown especially against Gloucester Catholic. In two games against the Gloucester this year he has scored 7 goals.
_Adam and Kyle also play with the Jersey Hitmen Jr.B (Empire). They play with a previous Player Spotlight, R.J. Burns. Adam has a 7-12-19 line in 29 games. This is including 1 game winner goal, and 2 more added on the special teams. Kyle on the other hand has 6-7-13 line in 23 games. Kyle has shown well in shootouts this season, scoring 1 of the teams 2 game winning shootout goals this season. The Hitmen have already clinched a playoff spot this season. Both Kyle and Adam played with the North Jersey Avalanche 16uAAA National team last season that lost in the National Championship game. Best of the luck to these two players on the rest of their seasons, and in playoffs!
